Potassium Permanganate

Synonyms:  Permanganic acid potassium salt

Uses: Oxidizer, disinfectant, deodorizer, bleach, dye, tanning, radioactive decontamination of skin, reagent in analytical chemistry, medicine (antiseptic), manufacture of organic chemicals, air and water purification.

Hazard: Burns and stains the skin dark brown.  If ingested will cause severe distress of gastro-intestinal system.  May be fatal if over 4 oz. are consumed.  Explosive; powerful oxidizing agent.
